Company Description
Following the recent acquisition by the Link Group of the Asset Services Division of Capita plc, Link Asset Services is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to set up the Accounts Payable Shared Services Centre for the UK and Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a reputable brand, where you will have direct impact on the business' bottom line.

The role will report to the LAS Financial Controller and you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely capture and payment of all UK and international invoices. There will be further opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the Shared Service operating model, constructing business case scenarios to support increased scope of services and/or entities, including the development of robust service level agreements (SLAs) with internal customers and with any third-party service providers.

Job Description
* Responsibility for managing the day to day duties of the accounts payable team, ensuring all invoices, credit cards and personal expenses are processed in a timely manner;
* Supporting Month end and Half Year close, providing reconciliations for key control accounts such as Trade Payables, Intercompany Payables, and Purchase Card Suppliers;
* Managing the day-to-day running of the purchase ledgers, ensuring all supplier invoices have been approved, entered correctly to the right cost centre, GL account combination, with Supplier statement reconciliations performed and evidenced appropriately;
* Ensuring suppliers are paid as per contractual payment terms, reconciling GL control accounts and resolving aged items in a timely manner;
* Generating payment runs in multiple currencies including identifying any payment priorities against available cash flow and liaising with the LAS Treasury function;
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding any accounts payable queries;
* Maintaining agreed KPIs to ensure control of all key targets and accurate daily management reporting;
* Providing mentoring, training and coaching to the AP team, including regular performance reviews, establishing objectives, goals and personal development plans to drive engagement within the team
* Leading on-going P2P process improvement initiatives and streamlining the operations of the Accounts Payable function.

Additional information
* Experienced Accounts Payable Manager with relevant accounting qualifications desirable
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing staff
* Strong technical knowledge of procurement principles and procedures
* Evidence of delivering strong results and process improvements in a fast-moving environment
* Good analytical and organisational skills
* Experience in project management to centralise AP functions for multiple entities.
