Corporate Tax Assistant Manager Job, Chartered Accountancy Firm, Glasgow, £38,000 - £45,000 + benefits Your new company A progressive independent Chartered Accountancy Firm with several decades experience of offering a variety of services including Accounts, Audit, Taxation and Advisory has been experiencing further business growth, which has resulted in the requirement for a new Corporate Tax Assistant Manager within their Glasgow office. As an award-winning organisation with a wide range of clients, from individuals, family businesses and large corporations, this is an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Tax Professional to gain a breadth of experience. Your new role The purpose of the successful individual is to maintain a portfolio of Corporate Tax Clients, ensuring deadlines for reporting and Tax are met, while ensuring the smooth progression of each specific job. You will be responsible, and a key point of contact, for both local and international clients. Daily responsibilities will include reviewing Corporation Tax computations and returns, reviewing Tax accounting disclosures, Tax audit review work, Tax advisory and planning, and manage and develop client relationships. Further to this, you will develop specific tax technical skills in areas such as Capital Allowances, R&D tax credits, and dealing with HMRC and international Tax services. You will be driven to assist and commit to long-term growth plans and monitor correspondence and advice drafted by more junior members of the team; maximising advisory opportunities from your portfolio of clients. What you'll need to succeed You will have notable experience of working as a valuable member of a Corporate Tax function within a Top 10, mid-tier or large independent firm with strong client handling skills, coupled with the ability to develop good relationships. In addition you will be able to delegate efficiently, review work and have the ability to encourage and foster development of the more junior members of the team. A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CTA or ATT is preferred.
