Financial Accountant will be primarily responsible for supporting the monthly close process and preparing journals, analysis and reconciliations.
You should have a strong process mind-set and ideally will have had some experience with internal controls as it relates to Sarbanes Oxley.
It's an exciting time to join our small team currently based in Gerrards Cross.
Major Activities and Responsibilities:
General Ledger responsibilities for the Financial Accountant to include the following:
* Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries for general ledger accounts
* Analyze and reconcile Intercompany transactions, working closely with global finance team
* Review of Bank transactions, and subsequent reconciling and posting to General Ledger
* Maintain the listing of fixed assets and related depreciation
* Month end financial statement compilation
* Develop quarterly variance analysis through written summaries
* Assist with providing quarterly documentation for auditor review
Profile
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
The candidate should have a degree in accounting and previous work history including month-end accounting activities (accruals, Journal Entries, reconciliations, analysis, etc.).
We are looking for a passionate, curious team player with a high level of flexibility, attention to detail, pragmatism and a hands on "can do" attitude.
We are currently in the process of implementing Microsoft Dynamics GP so experience implementing ERP systems would be a plus.
You will be a qualified accountant ( ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
