Financial Analyst (Cork) Our client is a U.S Technology Multinational Group with a significant operation based here in Cork. They are currently looking to appoint a part qualified accountant to join the team. They will provide a competitive compensation and benefits package to the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be currently studying towards completion of their accountancy exams and have a minimum 2 years previous relevant experience in practice or indusrty. The company will look for the successful candidate to be a highly motivated individual who will be able to work to tight deadlines. They will be working directly with the finance manager.  Duties & Responsibilities: Analysis of financial and/or budget operations to monitor the financial performance of the organization Provide technical expertise on financial matters to functional area managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, and understand financial reports and analysis Grant Accounting and preparation of grant claims for the IDA & EU Preparation of month end financial reports as well as an understanding of the drivers of variances Preparation and posting of journals Complete month end close Complete monthly reconciliations Assistance with Internal and External Audits Budgeting and forecasting Essential Experience/Qualifications: BA/BS Degree Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA) 2 + years working in a finance function in industry or practice Big 4 experience advantageous, but not essential Strong excel knowledge is essential SAP experience is advantageous Knowledge of Grant Accounting (EU/IDA) is advantageous Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication and verbal skills, previous experience working within a large team T o apply for this excellent opportunity send your cv via the portal provided or alternatively contact Tom Wilkinson on 021 4221000.
