Our client are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk to take ownership of the Accounts Payable function within the accountancy function of a Central London Media/Technology company. The role is looking for candidates looking to take up their AAT studies and progress to an AP Manager position.

Description

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

  • Processing purchase invoices

  • Reconciling supplier statements

  • Processing employee expense claims and ensuring employees are reimbursed in line with the company's expenses policy.

  • Matching invoices against PO's and investigating/ managing any discrepancies to resolution

  • Assisting with the completion of the month end close process.

  • Dealing with accounts queries upon request via phone and email.

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Assisting the team with ad hoc reports and projects.

  • Support in implementing new systems, processes and controls.

Profile

The succesful Accounts Payable Clerk:

  • 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience, looking to take a step into an AP Manager position in the near future
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of basic Accounting concepts and double entry.
    • Good Excel skills i.e Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and SUMIF formulas. (Bonus)

    • Proactive and able to show initiative to continuously improve AP processes.

    • Well organised, methodical and conscientious.

    • Strong attention to detail.

    • Works well under pressure and to deadlines
