This is a newly introduced role with a rapidly growing start-up company for their regional office based in Gateshead, they are looking for a Management Accountant to be a key part of the small finance team.

The client are a rapidly growing start-up company who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant for their regional office based in Gateshead.

Description

The key duties include:

  • Producing monthly Management Accounts including P&L, Cash flow and Balance Sheet
  • Reporting on both weekly and monthly performance
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Assisting with producing financial accounts and statutory reporting
  • Completing cash flow reconciliations and forecasting
  • Managing Payroll including pension, P11D and tax calculations
  • Overseeing both sales and purchase ledgers
  • Aiding in the implementation of financial controls
  • Managing the fixed asset register
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with improving processes and streamlining the finance function

    • Profile

    The successful candidate will:

    • Be at least AAT qualified and be studying towards either CIMA or ACCA
    • Be confident completing the listed duties
    • Have strong MS Excel skills
    • Be a fantastic communicator with strong interpersonal skills in order to create positive relationships across both internal and external groups
    • Have a very hands on approach to their work
    • Be extremely organised and able to prioritise their own workload
    • Be adaptable and have a flexible entrepreneurial attitude
