Business Analyst Job in Brisbane CBD, Queensland Government Department, Contract Until August 2018

Your new role
As Business Analyst, you will be responsible for pioneering the initial phase of the departments Data Governance Framework. This will see you reviewing the existing Enterprise Information Management documentation and policies in order to create an effective plan strategy which will enable a new data governance strategy. Through utilising your excellent business analysis skills and experience, you will also be required to define and develop operational policies and procedures for data governance. This will include access controls, MDM and meta data management and data stewardship. Reporting to the Director (Insights and Analytics - Data Sharing and Analytics), you will implement a Data Stewardship governance function through a board or working group.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful incumbent of the role, you will have previous experience working with data governance, data quality and information management strategies. Your experience will also include successful implementation and establishment of processes and effectively creating data governance policy and frameworks. It is essential that you possess experience with Cloud, Big Data and other analytics platforms. Any experience working directly with Government regulations is highly desirable.
