OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE McBreen Environmental Group are Ireland's leading Drain Services Company and one of Ireland's leading Environmental Solutions Providers, with Headquarters in Cavan and depots in Galway, Drogheda, Dublin and Cork. This position will suit an ambitious and motivated professional accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with + 5 years' relevant experience across financial control, financial reporting, strategic planning and financial planning and analysis. The successful candidate will be commercially astute and have a strong desire to enhance commercial skills and build relationships with Buisness Unit managers across the business. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Ensure Internal Compliance requirements are managed and dealt with. Overall responsibility for General Ledger functions Monitoring and forecasting of company cash flows and planning the working capital requirements. Manage Company tax compliance activities, eg RCT, VAT Corporation Tax etc. Support the Business Units of the company from a finance and commercial perspective Challenge the business to steer in the chosen strategic direction to include a strong focus on profit improvement and performance enhancement Continuous assessment and feasibility analysis of new initiatives with a view to making recommendations to senior management Key contributor of the annual budgeting process and forecasting process. Developing a stock control and purchase order system to coincide with budgets set. Manage Statutory Audits Reporting Preparation, analysis and reporting of full monthly management accounts, by company and division. Performance Analysis of monthly results, budget, forecasts, periodic reviews, yearend audit etc. Monthly review of actual performance against targets. Liaison with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors, legal, banks, pension advisors and insurance brokers as required. PERSON SPECIFICTATION Self-motivating, positive and enthusiastic individual who will demonstrate an ability to work well with a team. Proactive approach to a continuously expanding business Adaptable and flexible Strong organisation and communication skills and confidence to operate at a senior level QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years' experience gained ideally in Industry.
