High Voltage Electrician - Mackay

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) currently have a position available for a suitably qualified High Voltage Electrician to join our Mackay team.

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the key function of this role is to providing diagnostic and installation of electrical components on mobile earthmoving equipment.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

• Conduct all repairs and maintenance jobs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and or specified times
• Performing diagnostic evaluations on Electric Drive Hitachi Trucks
• Providing maintenance services on Electric Drive Hitachi Trucks
• Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reporting
• Maintaining a good working relationship with customers, peers and other departments
• To ensure compliance with company's Environmental Policy, quality standards, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• Identification of continuous improvements within your area of responsibility.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• High Voltage Electrician or Electrical Fitter Mechanic trade qualifications
• Current Drivers Licence
• Extensive post trade experience preferably with either; Hitachi, G.E and or Siemens Electric Drive systems in off highway Haul Trucks
• Good customer service skills and a positive attitude
• Have a strong safety focus and abide by company and site safety processes
• Be flexible with roster changes and work as a Team member

Of note:

• Mine site based role, 3 hours from Mackay and Rockhampton
• Roster = 7 on / 7 off
• Accommodation and meals provided
• Transport provided (bus) from Mackay/Rockhampton to and from mine site
