Global Payroll Manager

Guidepoint, a rapidly expanding primary research firm is seeking a detail–oriented Global Payroll Manager to focus on global payroll, benefits, on–boarding and reporting. This role reports to HR and Finance.

What You'll Do
  • Responsible for processing global payroll and updating employee information in various payroll systems
  • Oversee duties of payroll administrator who is responsible for bi weekly U.S. payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Run annual 5500 census testing in conjunction with 401K third party administrator for the U.S.
  • Manage invoicing reconciliation for carriers, administrators and vendors of Firm's Health & Welfare and Retirement plans
  • Maintain Sarbanes–Oxley process flows and related flow charts for the payroll process
  • Audit and reconcile records against carrier, payroll, and HRIS databases to maintain accuracy
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and analyses as needed
  • Develop, amend and document policies and procedures and transactions in a timely manner
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Controller and/or Global Finance management team
  • Initiate, drive and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Review and approve all process improvements, changes
  • Create and analyze ad hoc reporting requests and special projects related to payroll and benefits
  • Record global payroll entries and related transactions in the general ledger
What You Have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience working in a global payroll manager role required
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relationships
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office tools with a focus on excel
  • Strong execution skills, advanced analytical skills, and accounting skills
  • Strong time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and awareness of deadlines
  • Excellent working knowledge of international, federal, state, FICA and local tax withholdings laws and regulations.
