I am recruiting for a full time Sales Ledger/Credit Controller, to take ownership of the Credit Control Functions, proactively chasing outstanding debt and working towards reducing the debtor's ledger.

You will also be given the chance to manage your own ledger autonomously and create your own method of chasing outstanding debts which you will then report back to the head of finance; allowing you to work at your own pace but control your workload accordingly.

You will have a keen eye for detail and be a good problem solver with accurate reconciling experience.

In return you can look forward to flexible working hours and early finishes on a Friday, reporting to the Credit Controller Manager duties will include:

* Ensure outstanding debts are pursued and collected in accordance with company procedures
* Pro–active debt management to ensure lowest available aged debt on Accounts Receivable Ledger
* Ensure regular customer contact by phone, fax and email and letter
* Ensure regular updates with both internal and external customers
* Investigate enquiries and queries from customers, escalating internally when required
* Process BACS / CHEQUES
* Ensure that all documents and paperwork are provided and are promptly and accurately filed

The ideal candidate:

* You'll preferably have previous experience in credit control
* Be able to provide fantastic customer service
* You'll be an adept problem solver
* You'll be highly organised and able to follow procedures
* The ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and manage time efficiently
* You'll have the ability to deal with problem accounts and customers professionally and effectively
* Good attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative and follow logic
