Join us at reed.co.uk, one of the UK's largest online jobsites, as an Accounts Payable and Payroll Assistant to help support us in our mission to help the world Love Mondays.

You will be part of the Finance Team responsible for payroll duties as well as processing supplier invoices, ensuring that they are paid on time. You will deal with any issues that may arise, ensuring that records and reports are accurately maintained under the supervision of the Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager.

KeyResponsibilities
  • Accurately assist in the processing of payroll and pension schemes in a timely manner
  • Ensure adequate control and a smooth flow of invoices and supporting documents from the point of receipt to payment and archiving
  • Maintain the purchase order system
  • Coding and payment of all purchase invoices, self–billing and expenses in a timely and accurate manner (checked, approved and processed), liaising with department managers to ensure correct allocation of costs
  • Reconciliation of all supplier statements to ensure the supplier ledgers reflect a true and accurate position of amounts owed at all times
  • Produce aged creditors and KPI reports on a periodic basis
  • Manager enquiries from suppliers and Co–Members in an efficient, timely and professional manner
  • Ensure best practice and continuous improvement of policies and procedures to maximise efficiency
  • Any other tasks and activities as required, in line with the above job purpose
SkillsandExperience
  • Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above
  • Proven experience in accounts payable and processing payroll
  • Accurate with high attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Dedicated, flexible and coordinated approach to work
  • A relevant accounting, payroll or purchasing qualification (desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of accounting systems (Agresso desirable)
