Your new role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and managing a small team you will provide accurate and timely financial information to support finance and management teams. You will produce periodic financial and operational reports illustrating performance against latest financial forecast for the business, including profit and loss, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow statement and presentation of summary information pack to local management. Maintain and improve business models to support latest forecasts, annual budgets and long term strategic planning and develop and monitor relevant actual and forecast variance analysis including event profitability analysis on a timely basis. Working closely with the MD and senior management to develop, expand and continuously review financial processes, policy and systems that improve the functioning of Finance and the wider business and develop strong internal relationships and play a lead role in coaching operational teams to become more financially competent in their approach to business decisions. You will assist the management team to optimise performance, cost control and drive profitability and maintain good supplier relationships and manage in line with operational cashflow.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be qualified or qualified by experience with excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel to a high level and ability or experience of using a fully integrated accounting system is essential. IFS experience would be advantageous. Commercial awareness and a proven record of cost control is essential as well as the ability to create financial and non financial reports for operational and executive use. You will be a self–starter able to work to specific deadlines and deliverables and an excellent team player with flexible approach to different tasks and changing requirements. A background in manufacturing or engineering is highly desirable.
