A brand new role has become available for a Payroll Accountant to work for a Global Financial services company based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interrogate transactions that have been posted to our payroll balance sheet accounts processing correcting entries as necessary. Investigation will require analysis of the Oracle system and payroll submissions from outsourced payroll provider
  • Provide support to the current Finance payroll accounting team in processing monthly payrolls/month end close as necessary
  • Work with HR payroll team to understand the account mappings for the various payroll to ensure they are mapped to appropriate general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for the balance sheet

Essential knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience in a general finance administration position with a minimum of 3 years dealing with accounting for Payroll entries (Payroll Accountant)
  • Experience of Oracle, though not essential
  • Strong excel skills – pivot tables, Sumifs and Vlookup functions
  • Demonstrable experience of European payroll accounting
