Job no:   516198 Work type:   External Fixed Term Contract Location:   Dublin Categories:   Accountancy and Finance, Other Job Title: Financial Accountant Location: Dublin 18 Salary: €53k depending on skills and experience Fixed Term Contract, 1 year | Full Time Hours | 37.5 hours per week Our Role The Financial Accountant is responsible for the execution of accounting and period closing activities including the accurate and timely execution of general accounting, period end closing, forecasting and reporting activities and the delivery of reporting information to the wider Finance & Business community. The Financial Accountant will liaise with the Finance manager to provide updates on financial performance and provide additional insight through reporting and commentary as required. They will also interact with the Business to understand the impact of material transactions that will impact performance & provide guidance & support. Your Skills and Experience Essential Job Specific Skills and Experiences -Fully qualified accountant with relevant experience in a finance role with exposure to issues of similar complexity -Excellent knowledge of current regulations including IFRS / new UK GAAP, Companies Acts, Regulatory Licences etc. -Good knowledge of core financial systems and Financial accounting procedures -Adaptive to changing objectives and priorities to deliver results -Focused on creating value for the Business Functional and Technical Skills -Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly excel) -Degree-level education or equivalent -Knowledge of SSE equivalent systems, processes and workflow technology -Experience with accounting ERP software desirable (ie.
