Opportunity for an Accounts assistant to join a large US Multinational in Dublin West Supporting the preparation of monthly accounts in a large US multinational company (listed on NASDAQ) you will get exposure to US GAAP, IFRS, Internal Control and Sarbanes Oxley compliance in a collaborative workplace. Opportunity to be a part of a smaller local Finance team in Dublin and work within the wider Global team. Diligent candidate with a strong accounting background who can work to tight reporting deadlines would suit this role. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Support the preparation and delivery of high quality monthly, quarterly and year end management accounts Preparation of month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations Responsible for banking including reconciliations, cash flow management, forecasting and processing payments using online banking Responsible for managing fixed assets process including recording transactions in Oracle in line with Company policy and conducting audits Maintain compliance framework to ensure full compliance with local statutory / regulatory requirements i.e. VAT returns, CSO returns and ensuring all other filings (accounting, legal, tax) are completed and filed in accordance with local legislation and timelines Support management in driving efficiencies for the group and supporting the business and business initiatives as appropriate Assist in the preparation and collation of information for external accountants and auditors to support annual statutory audits and filing requirements Assistance with other ad hoc tasks as required Requirements: Relevant 3rd level qualification in business/accountancy 1 - 2 years' experience in a large US multinational company Desire to pursue ACA or ACCA exams Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel An ability to work on their own initiative Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and enjoy working as part of a team Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Prior Oracle experience would be advantageous but not essential
