Senior Credit Controller

This is an urgent requirement for a highly knowledgeable and able Credit Controller to join a media monitoring business based in Dublin on a 6 month contract. Client Details Our client is a media monitoring business that provides clients with daily information on what is being said about them or their competitors in all forms of media, based on keywords they select. Description This Dublin-based role will look after their biggest and most important clients. It will be your responsibility to own the credit control function; to clean up the old 180+ debt and then hold clients to 30/60 day terms. Along with general credit control duties you'll be expected to assist with preparing credit notes, account reconciliations and investigation, calculation of concessions, weekly meetings with London office to give updates on clients and to go through the aged debt reports you produce from Sage, keep clear and accurate notes on excel based chase list, experience with different currencies. This person really needs to be up for a big challenge. It won't be as simple as calling to ask for payment; a client might be upset with service issues; a call might also prompt follow up work like enquiries with commercial/customer service/finance teams or credit notes or legal escalation if required. Profile The successful candidate will have plenty of working knowledge; they'll be very confident, very resilient, positive, can work unsupervised and autonomously, needs to be able to step straight in and own the role. Not just great on the phones but great doing the behind the scenes work too. Experience with large companies, PR agencies and government clients a bonus. Great current excel skills are paramount; someone who already knows filtering, vlookups, pivot tables; someone who knows some tricks for data manipulation, this is what their debtors reporting requires.
