The Police Service of Northern Ireland is recruiting for the following position: Data Protection Officer Location : Belfast Ref: HRDPO0218 Salary Band: £47,749 - £52,334 The Data Protection Bill 2018 introduces a statutory requirement for all public authorities or bodies to designate a mandatory Data Protection Officer (DPO) who will have the highest level of authority in ensuring compliance with Data Protection. The DPO will be a dedicated and key, supporting role that underpins the Accounting Officer function carried out by the Chief Constable. The DPO will be the cornerstone of accountability for Data Protection in the Police Service of Northern Ireland and will provide full authoritative advice and recommendations in the field of Data Protection.
