Your new company Are you looking to join an established multi-national company in Galway, which will offer you second to none senior level experience? This organisation are a key player in the medical technology industry and have experienced significant growth over the last number of years. They are searching for an experienced qualified accountant with expert knowledge in cost accounting to join the Galway office for a significant contract. Your new role You will join a small, dynamic, high energy team in a senior #2 position. This is a great role that combines both financial and management aspects of accounting, with a heavy focus on manufacturing accounting (building standard costs, accruals, inventory etc). You will have responsibility over the cost management function and will be the go-to person for budget and forecasting models. You will be actively supporting/challenging strategic decisions, overseeing month end processes & statement preparation, interacting with key business stakeholders and advising on financial decisions. What you'll need to succeed For your application to be successful you must have a full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5 years PQE in manufacturing multi-national environments, particularly focused on management/cost accounting. You must have good knowledge of Standard costs and accounting for a manufacturing environment. If you have a proactive approach to your work, you are a self starter needing minimal supervision and are driven by achieving results you will be very successful in this position. Good knowledge of ERPs (SAP, ORACLE, JDE) an advantage. Some travel required.
