Working for a world class manufacturing business, you’ll need to have a finance background and also have proven experience of payroll, we’ll also be looking for strong IT skills (Sage Payroll and Excel particularly) and confident communication skills are a must as you’ll be dealing with both UK and European staff and customers. What’s the Job?
You’ll be working within a small finance team and there will be plenty to get your teeth into, including:
- Assisting with the processing of payroll (including manual calculations)
- Provide cover and support for end of month and year end accounts
- Assist with sales and purchase ledger
- Invoicing as required
- Monitor and review expenses
- Manage petty cash
- Controlling credit and chasing debt
- Reconciling accounts and direct debits
- Organising travel
- Employee expenses managing and monitoring
- Handling confidential information (GDPR compliant)
- Dealing with post
- Co-ordinate catering for on-site meetings / customer visits
- General administration
What do you need?
You’ll already have a strong finance / accounts background and be comfortable with the payroll process from start to finish, you’ll also need excellent administration skills plus:
- Strong IT skills including Excel and Sage Payroll
- SAP experience (or similar) desirable
- Sage Payroll experience (including P11D)
- Bookkeeping knowledge
- VAT Experience
- Employee expenses managing and monitoring
- Experience within a manufacturing environment desirable
- Excellent administration skills
- AAT qualified desirable
- Confident communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
What are the pay and benefits?
A salary of up to £25,000 is on offer for this role along with excellent benefits which include parking; pension, death in service, healthcare and discretionary bonus. Hours are 37.5 per week Monday to Friday and holidays are 25 days plus bank holidays.
