Pinnacle is Australia's preeminent multi-affiliate investment management firm, based in Sydney with offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and London. Its mission is to establish, grow and support a diverse stable of world-class investment managers.

Our group currently consists of nine specialist investment management firms, which together manage $32 billion across a range of mainstream and alternative asset classes. Pinnacle provides institutional and retail distribution and other support services to its affiliated investment managers.

The opportunity

We are growing rapidly and have a role for an experienced talent acquisition and development executive to join our firm. We aim to recruit talented individuals, provide a very positive and fulfilling work environment and facilitate the ability of our people to learn and grow in a creative environment. Reporting directly to our CEO, this role works closely with the executive team and investment management affiliates on the people-related initiatives so crucial to our ongoing success and growth. It is critical to ensure that we have a proactively developed talent pipeline to recruit and continually develop highly talented individuals across the group. The ideal person will have strong experience in sourcing and developing talent and will have worked closely with high performing teams on engagement, retention, development and growth.

Responsibilities

Specifically, the successful candidate will be required to engage talent pools to build a pipeline of candidates via a variety of channels and to manage the end-to-end recruitment and on-boarding process for multiple roles. He or she must work effectively with a high performing team across development, performance, remuneration/benefits and interpret, review and update people-related policies, working closely with the senior team to achieve strong outcomes and the envisioned organisational “culture”.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate should have a strong talent-development and preferably talent-acquisition background and be a registered psychologist with university qualifications in psychology, human resource management or a business-related discipline. He or she should have 8+ years experience ideally with a majority of that time in a similar role. Offshore experience and networks together with experience in sales, marketing and financial services are desirable.
