To be responsible for the processing and reporting of financial data of the ARK Schools and its related entities, the monitoring of various projects, business cases, the development of the management and financial accounting processes across the network.

Our client is one of the leading Multi-Academy Trusts in the UK. Starting in 2006 with one school, they now have a network of over 35 schools across the UK. All schools are proudly non-selective and typically in deprived areas. Further to their academies, this organisation aims to transform lives across the world through working with developing governments to improve their educational offering. Finally, our client runs a highly successful Teacher Training function within their academies.
Description
The key responsibilities include but is not limited too:
- Management Accounts, 41 departments to be reduced to streamline and improve that area
- Create new management accounts pack
- Budget and forecast support and Board reporting
- PSF new version project
- Purchase order implementation project
- Analysis of data
- Deferred income accounts
- Restricted funds
- School allocation funds
- Write up of procedure notes
- Year end process support - technical accounting
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Come from a practice background, ideally from the big 4 as an ACA
- At least 4 years experience within a large organisation, preferably within the education space
- Exposure to budgeting/forecasting
- Exposure and work on the year-end process
- Evidence of process improvement within these areas
Job Offer
A 12 month FTC between 50-65,000 pending experience.
