Client Details

My client is a household Financial Services business based in Cardiff

Description

This is a a great opportunity for a qualified Accountant to join a household Financial Services business in Cardiff on a 12m FTC basis starting in April.

This role has three major constituents:

  • The day to day finance liaison with Senior Management in 3 key areas of the business, responsibility for the delivery of financial reporting, as well as analysis of aspects of actual business performance
  • The preparation and consolidation of short and medium term financial plans for the portfolio, in year forecasting and reporting of actual performance against budget P&L, Balance Sheet and KVDs
  • Responsibility for the reporting requirements of UKSL, both internally and externally given the non-core business needs

Key responsibilities include:

  • Production of monthly business performance, including insightful timely analytics, both for 2 key areas of the business
  • Support for the overall development of the SBU strategy and associated financial targets for the short and medium term planning cycles, outlook and risks and opportunities reporting
  • Senior Business and Finance stakeholder engagement and management

Profile

The ideal candidate will have;

  • An accountancy qualification (or QBE)
  • Knowledge of Finance functions
  • Numerate - able to work with Spreadsheets and perform financial analysis
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Flexible and proactive work style
  • Advanced Excel skills with knowledge of Access desirable
  • Good SQL skills, with ability to create and run code essential
  • Knowledge of IT systems and databases, ability to interrogate data, and adaptability to new systems

Job Offer

A salary of £38,000 - £50,000

10% pension
