Finance Business Partner

The role will be responsible for improving the information flow between the CFO and the operational manager. The role will be responsible for driving improvement across multiple areas of the business.

Description

The role will be involved in many areas of the business and will be a visible position to many outside of finance.

Responsibilities include:

• Working across Finance to deliver the best services to the Manager and their team. Be their key contact in the Finance team.

• Tracking and reporting on the business' progress delivering its strategic initiatives, responsible for identifying risks and opportunities in each work stream and assisting the management team in mitigating or taking advantage of as relevant.

• Agree trading and P&L forecast with the Manager. Take own initiative in identifying risks and opportunities to that forecast and ensuring those are fully understood by the Manager and their team.

• Ensure Finance is producing commercially focused reporting that aids both strategic and tactical decision making.

• Provide input into commercial decision-making. Be Finance's voice in discussions about new products, commercial processes, routes to market, etc.

• Liaise with the Financial Controller to understand and challenge month end results, changing approaches to forecasting as necessary.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivery within their current role. Experience of the travel sector would be ideal as would demonstrable experience of in-depth commercial analysis.
