Your Team:
Within the Cash Flow and Transaction Services (CTS) division, the Cash Management and Payment Solutions team is focussed on supporting an integrated view of our clients' value chain across geographies from a product perspective. It includes domestic and international cash management and payments capabilities including FX. It also includes the Payments Representation team that support payments from a Group perspective.
The domestic Cash Management team that has product responsibility for a range of deposit and transaction solutions with a portfolio size exceeding $100bn. These solutions help business and institutional customers to manage their cash effectively as part of meeting their overall working capital needs.
Your impact & contribution:
Reporting to the Managing Director, Cash Management & Payment Solutions, CTS you will lead the Cash Management team and profitably manage a portfolio of products by applying strong knowledge of client working capital needs, advanced technical product management capabilities, operational risk/compliance management frameworks, regulatory environment and the competitive environment to ensure that CBA's cash management offering is best in market.
You will also be accountable along with key segment partners for developing and executing the Transaction Banking strategy across IB&M and B&PB.
Your responsibilities:
Product Portfolio Management: Predicts macro environment and develops and drives strategies to address changes. Determines pricing strategy for the product, continually reassesses product pricing strategies across the product life cycle and assesses the overall impact of pricing on the portfolio with a short / long term perspective. Anticipates risks and performs comprehensive risk assessment across the end to end product value chain. Predicts change, identifies and acts on opportunities and employs evidence based decision making to determine the future direction of the portfolio.
Stakeholder & Project Management: Builds advocacy and shared ownership of the product vision and uses in depth knowledge of the business strategy to communicate with passion to influence and align stakeholder groups, whilst demonstrating tenacity and resilience in critical decision making to ensure product vision and objectives are realised.
Customer Centric Design: Proactively takes accountability for staff and customer experience across the product value chain and drives governance, measurement, experience improvement and reduced risk across end to end processes. Drives competitive advantage through anchoring customer centricity in all design work to deliver amazing customer experiences. Creates new markets/revenue streams through innovative design.
Product landscape & Strategy Development: Proactively analyses and understands the interconnectivity of the internal product landscape and builds a strong external network, whilst actively monitoring global business environment for potential competitors and best practice. Uses external reputation to influence legislation and regulatory changes impacting the CBA Group. Leverages in-depth understanding of the product strategy to inform current and future priorities and proactively develops and refines strategic and tactical plans to position the portfolio in adherence to regulation and maximise value for the Group
Team leadership: Leadership style is centred on the CBA Group vision and values. Builds a high performance, values based team culture through highly effective leadership, coaching and development frameworks. Regarded as a values based leader role model.
Your experience and qualifications:
The Successful candidate will be a strong leader with extensive experience in Product Management within banking/finance at an Executive Director/Manager level and tremendous exposure across industry, regulatory and customer groups. So what will you need to be successful?
Strong understanding of managing a balance sheet product portfolio including managing engagement with treasury and transfer pricing teams across the organisation
Expert technical practitioner of product management capabilities (above) ideally in a working capital context.
Expert experience in managing a complex range of stakeholders across the product value chain.
Experience in roles requiring advanced understanding of risk management principles and frameworks
Successful track record of leading large scale change in a complex stakeholder environment
International/Asian banking experience in treasury management / cash management would be ideal as is a relevant University qualification.
