Our Birmingham Commercial Branch currently has a number of exciting Underwriter opportunities to join across the team covering Property & Casualty, Fleet, Development and Renewals.

This is a great opportunity to take an active role in developing the branch account in terms of growth and profitability through negotiating, securing and retaining profitable business.

In addition, you will underwrite professionally in accordance with Allianz Insurance standards and provide excellent service to customers in a fast paced environment.

You will be responsible for underwriting cases including analysis and compilation of data for referral, forming and developing broker and branch relationships to drive growth and have the ability to build rapport with and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

You will have a strong compliance ethic to meet all FCA compliance requirements and achieve agreed financial performance targets on business underwritten.

What we are looking for:

• Commercial underwriting experience with the ability to build strong broker relationships
• Excellent trading skills
• Market and product awareness
• Analytical, influencing and negotiation skills
• Studying towards or prepared to study for ACII
• Practical knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook
• Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills
