Global Financial Services business is looking for a Financial Data Analyst to join its team. Based in Canary Wharf.

Description

• Database modelling - maintaining and developing excel-based financial models on bespoke data platforms

• Understanding key financial statement data in order to maintain and enhance models to support its analysis

• Managing internal and external requests for model changes and initiating discussion forums to agree policy decisions

• Documenting all model calculations, amendments and processes

• Running reports on data content to analyse impact of model changes or testing of new enhancements to the database system

• Interacting with IT to specify functional enhancements to the system and conducting subsequent quality assurance testing

• Communicating effectively to manage stakeholders throughout all levels of the organisation

• Support data cleansing projects as they arise

• Data feed imports and exports, liaising closely with the Datafeed Coordinator to ensure the efficient running of all feed data

• Documenting feed processes and initiating improvements

• Assisting in ad hoc projects relating to the provision of financial data to clients

• Working closely with content and data quality specialists and credit analysts to improve data quality

Profile

Advanced Excel skills.

Analytical background.

Likely to be studying for either the CFA or CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualifications.

Financial Services sector experience

Financial, economic, accountancy or business-related degree ideally
