Service Stream are a national service provider to the telecommunications and utilities industries. We specialise in the design, construction and maintenance of new and existing networks on behalf of our blue chip client base.
About the role
The Project Finance Controller will be responsible for overall financial control, analysis, reporting and operational support for our Nokia 4G base station design and construction program. Based in Collins Street and reporting to the Finance Manager, this position is offered on a full time, permanent basis.
Duties
Establish a robust financial control environment to ensure projects are budgeted and forecasted correctly and that expenditures are within approved authorities
Act as a business partner to the Project Director, ensuring the finance function provides valuable financial insight and assists with business decisions
Ensure all month-end close and associated reporting requirements are completed on time
Drive accurate usage of the ERP system, IFS, to ensure ''% complete'' and ''estimated amount to complete'' are accurate and up to date
Provide commercial expertise to the Project Director including assisting with the preparation of quotes, pricing and analysis
Skills and Experience
CA/CPA Qualified with significant experience, ideally from within the construction/engineering sector
Experience using a large ERP system such as IFS, MS Navision, SAP or Oracle
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent business engagement skills with the ability to communicate financial matters to non-finance staff but verbally and in writing
Advanced MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, what-if analysis)
