Pricing Manager - £40-50,000 + 10% Perf.Related Bonus and £476 pcm car allowance
Accountable To: Finance Director
Main Purpose of Role:
- To effectively manage the Pricing function and team for the business ensuring all KPI’s are met and relevant targets achieved.
- To maintain the integrity of the quotations database in a timely manner. To provide detailed analysis and support to all areas of the Business.
Accountabilities
- Provide guidance on setting RV’s and the regular review of the vehicle portfolio reporting on future profit/ lost forecasts.
- Advise on the contract pricing and report to the Risk Management Committee on RV’s, market trends and key issues.
- To provide advice and guidance on SMR budgets and performance
- To assist with new client tenders.
- To complete both manufacturer and independent rental surveys when received.
- To provide detailed analysis of the rental survey results when received.
- To manage the department effectively in order to:
- Promptly action manufacturer rental surveys as and when received.
- Effectively manage the pricing for the standard discount structure and customer specific manufacturer support and any option support that may be available
- Ensure that all vehicles on the system have a residual value either from override values or via benchmarking.
- Maintain the integrity of the data held on the system.
- Override values or via benchmarking.
- Ability to deliver high levels of customer service and client satisfaction whilst managing client expectation
- High level of sector, industry and product knowledge, including experience in database management
- Capable of making effective business decisions taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and availability of relevant information
- To have a strong commercial acumen to ensure business focus
- Effective communicator both orally and in writing. Equally effective at ‘shop-floor’ and ‘boardroom’ level. A good listener who can respond sensitively to needs and concerns, and engenders trust and who possess high levels of gravitas
- Ability to negotiate, persuade and influence stakeholders to gain buy in and support at all levels
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who will challenge the status quo whilst employing a considered approach
- An energetic driver for performance and results. Able to engender and sustain a ‘can do’ mentality
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team successfully
- Ability to interpret, extract, manipulate and analyse complex data accurately. Identifying issues and presenting potential solutions
- Good working knowledge of fleet management systems
- Highly proficient in MS Office to an advanced level.
- Empathic, positive, flexible outlook
- Full clean driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Well-developed commercial abilities enabling effective tender preparation, submission and contract negotiation
- Proven substantial experience of working at a strategic level on complex issues
- Extensive presentation capability to both internal and external audiences
- Project management experience
- Good working knowledge of a service lead B2B sales process
- Graduate calibre
- Membership of an industry related professional body
