Financial Accounting Manager

Role Purpose

Caffe Nero is looking to hire a technically savvy Financial Accounting Manager to join our friendly and dynamic finance team here at Neal Street, Covent Garden. With responsibility for managing all activities in relation to the year-end audit and tax compliance, preparation and review of the monthly external reporting and the management of the capex and maintenance reporting function within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month end consolidation of company results (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for external stakeholders – particularly investors and lenders
• Key role in the monthly review and management of the company’s balance sheets as part of sound financial control
• Completion of the quarterly VAT return and on-going monitoring that correct processes are in place
• Overseeing the day-to-day management and control of payment processes and cash management
• Management of intercompany positions between Caffe Nero’s international entities (Poland, Turkey, Ireland, UAE, USA, Cyprus)
• Revenue cost line responsibility across the UK business’s c600 outlets for rent, rates and sublet income P&L lines; including management of claims from landlords and local authorities as appropriate
• Undertake projects on an adhoc basis as required such as the integration and transition of a new Accounting System (SAP Business One and a review of the period end process.

Required Experience and Skills:

• ACA qualified or ACCA qualified with strong Audit experience
• Strong financial accounting experience within a retail or F&B company
• Excellent technical abilities with knowledge of accounting software
• Experience reporting and presenting data to wider business for senior management
• Strong communication skills
• People management experience
