Head of Treasury

About the position As head of treasury, you will be responsible for developing and driving the strategic direction of the treasury function. A great team of treasury professionals exists along with an expert team of finance professionals. A hugely commercial & strategic position, the role will be diverse and will require an experienced and commercially minded treasury professional with the ability to also get into the detail and support finance projects that are treasury related. Experience with systems within a control environment is important to be able to deliver the objectives of the group. Some responsibilities include: Design and implementation of hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks, primarily foreign currency cash flow exposure Oversight of the management of foreign currency exposure for the group including purchasing of foreign currency Provide commentary on currency movements explaining the potential impact of these on the business Preparation of board level cash and risk management reporting Responsibility for the groups cash and liquidity position Managing the relationships with the banks and setting up new banking relationships as necessary Participating in process improvement initiatives for finance and cross-functionally Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures Responsible for implementation of new systems and ensuring current systems are most efficiency Development of team's overall responsibilities About the person: At least 10 years experience in treasury with exposure to all aspects of treasury from front to back office Experience of implementing cash management/treasury systems Strong people and leadership skills Highly commercial and strategic thinker Can do, hands on attitude with excellent attention to detail Working across all business types, but exclusively within the accounting, finance & tax community, Barden exists to share bespoke advice, guidance and support to professionals along each step of their career journey
