A dynamic role needs to be filled, in a fast-moving organisation, dealing with process improvements, month end closers, Weekly operational and Finance KPI, Budgeting and reforecasting. Reporting to the Financial Controller this position will ensure appropriate financial controls are being adhered to, challenging where necessary and ensuring costs controls and drive performance deemed in the business. Key Responsibilities Assist financial controller in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts Responsible for weekly and monthly payroll Responsible for analysing data and report on variance Revenue recognition & Deferred Revenue calculation Prepare bank / creditors reconciliations as required Assist Financial Controller in preparing VAT returns Assist Financial Controller with a wide variety of ad-hoc management reporting requirements Preparation of month end journals - prepayments, accruals to Sage 200, Wage & salary journal Preparing balance sheets reconciliation Posting Depreciation To aid in the preparation of information for the annual budgets To assist with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts and forecasts to strict deadlines Deal with outstanding queries through liaising with assistant accountants Taking on additional responsibility during holidays Assisting financial controller with presentations Preparing reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested by management for various projects Process supplier payments as required Working with junior accountants to bring accounts to a close as per the monthly reporting calendar. Other Ad hoc duties, this list is not exhaustive Skills Required Qualified accountant with 2 years post qualification experience Advance level excel preferably pivots, sumifs/vlookup Analytical experience is a distinct advantage Knowledge of working capital movements Experience with Sage 200 is preferable but not essential
