We are currently recruiting for Custody Associate vacancies throughout our organisation to join our statistic data teams. Custody Associates will work as part of a team to continue to deliver and build upon the excellent service that we provide to our Clients. Experience, Qualifications & Background Ideally Required •Degree in Business Studies, Financial Services or other related qualification •Some administration experience, preferably in a financial environment •Previous experience in dealing with customers/clients •Desire to pursue a career in the funds industry •Be risk aware and take all steps necessary to minimise errors including fully complying with existing procedures and staying aware of procedure changes •Proficient with MS Office Excel and Word •Strong ability and experience of multi-tasking and adapting well to change •Proactive with strong organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative •Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines •Excellent problem solving skills •Excellent interpersonal skills, working well independently and in a team environment •Excellent accuracy and attention to detail •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Summary of Key Competencies required for the position •Client Focus •Attention to detail •Communication •Continuous Improvement •Sound Decision Making •Risk Management •Drive for Results This is an excellent opportunity to begin or continue a career in financial services. Your responsibilities Responsible for the timely and accurate review and posting of month end close and accounting transactions, P&L and Balance Sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation & resolution. Ensure financial records are in compliance with IFRS. Maintain sub-ledgers schedules and post monthly journals. Build strong working relationships across the Finance and non-Finance spectrum. Ensure all tax, audit, filings, accounting, inter-company transactions and other relevant compliance matters are completed satisfactorily. Liaising with external and internal auditors, legal and tax departments to ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements. Liaise with colleagues in other locations to ensure that consistent processes are applied across all regions and that there is consistent treatment of corporate finance policies. Participate and engage in upcoming projects & initiatives. Our requirements Qualified accountant. ERP systems exposure, especially SAP experience, an advantage but no essential. Strong organizational abilities and a hands-on mentality, with excellent attention to detail. Working on own initiative to achieve both individual and team based targets. Excellent team player with strong customer focus.
