Job role

L'Arche Sydney Inc. is currently seeking enthusiastic Community Coordinator who will be responsible for the establishment of a Respite Service for adults with disability, growing further disability services, building and promoting community life in the Hunter Region.

The Community Coordinator role requires initiative, resilience, self-confidence and is personally rewarding as you are contributing to help improve the quality of life of a number of individuals. You will enjoy a range of benefits including;

Selection criteria

To be considered for this position it is essential that you address in writing the following:

· An understanding of the Identity and Mission of L'Arche, and a commitment to upholding L'Arche values and principles with an experience of and commitment to community life;

· Ability to confidently publicly promote (announce) L'Arche to the wider Hunter community;

· Managing the administrative and financial responsibilities

· Tertiary qualifications, experience and training in Behavioural/Social Sciences, Disability or related discipline

· Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a management role in a disability service

· Ability to work positively with people with disability, families/guardians and other professionals

· Experience in the development, analysis and control of Budgets

· Experience working with Government Agencies and/or Funding bodies

· Proven experience in the development and implementation of Strategic Plans, Policies and Procedures

· Experience in accreditation processes
