About the role Life Capital Finance IT is a new team that owns and runs the finance IT systems across the Life Capital business unit Key activities are providing thought leadership and ownership of the Finance systems strategy, delivering upon new system implementations and small change and running BAU Key partners are Swiss Re Group Finance, the Life Capital finance team, Life Capital Operating Entity finance teams and the IT resource providers Key Responsibilities Providing thought leadership and ownership of the Finance systems strategy Delivering new systems implementations Representing Life Capital Finance in Swiss Re Group forums Leading small change and BAU support Managing Finance IT team About the team Swiss Re is one of the World's largest and most respected reinsurance companies, and is dedicated to helping other organisations, companies and individuals to handle risk.This exciting opportunity is within Life Capital, one of our divisions where we are focused and committed on helping our customers with appropriate financial protection when they need it most. This role is a key position in a new team that is responsible for leading on development of IT Systems for the Life Capital Finance team. About You Position requirements Qualified accountant (ICAEW/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or near qualification Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills - any other main European business language is an advantage 5 years post qualification experience in large finance function; financial services/ insurance experience would be preferred 5 years of experience in IT system product ownership and implementation Ability and confidence to actively engage in discussions, voice opinions, and act as "facilitator" Sound judgement/decision making skills Excellent collaboration and team working, sociable 'can-do' attitude Ability to manage time efficiently and to coordinate activities Able to present technical and finance topics clearly with confidence and in non-technical language Drive and enthusiasm, creative, with the ability to obtain buy-in from stakeholders Self-motivator with ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple priorities Good communication and presentation skills Analytical thinking, structured approach to address complex topics Team player and able to work in an environment of change Able to take ownership of personal development through awareness and training to ensure skills and experience are maintained We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
