Responsibilities Ensures that systems and procedures are stablished for a proper maintenance of accounts payable functions, month end processes, as well as approval for cash disbursements and any other supervision & decision activities related to the area. Principal activities Implement procedures to improve efficiencies, cost reduction and accomplish integrity policies Preparing of managerial reporting for accounts payable as required Work with the involved areas on issue resolution for AP Standardize processes Automating of the accounts payable processes and required projects Work with Tax team in order to meet all legal requirements on AP processes. Account reconciliations and internal controls review Follow up month end close processes for AP Ensure that SLA with suppliers and internal customers is accomplished by the team Requirements Advanced / Fluent English, strong verbal and written communication skills Degree in accounting or Business finance Proven leadership, organizational and supervisory skills with direct and indirect employee population of over 75 Experience in managing transitions Centre of Excellence Experience in Shared Services Min8 years in the Accounting department or in an accounting firm and at least5 years of experience with leading people Part or fully qualified accountant (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good accounting skills and IT literacy; (including intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel), including Ability to utilize basic formulas Utilize Pivot Tables and V-Lookups Excellent customer service, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced team environment while meeting deadlines Solid self-management Innovative and constantly looking for opportunities to improve within a controls environment
