About the opportunity
The Health and Safety Specialist position is newly created to support the Bupa’s Health Services function which includes Bupa Optical, Bupa Dental and Bupa Therapy. The core responsibility of this role is to contribute to the reduction of illness for Bupa’s people through discrete actions and projects that enable our people and leaders to continuously improve safe systems of work for their workplaces injury and illness.
You will responsible for:
Delivery of Health & Safety (‘H&S’) projects across Bupa A&NZ
Developing and enabling the business to prioritise and action H&S plans
Developing initiatives to control H&S risk, thereby reducing injury and illness for Bupa’s people.
Ensuring the Bupa A&NZ People Services function achieves or exceeds agreed delivery targets
Contributing data to ensure timely and accurate Wellness Health & Safety (‘WHS’) reporting and analysis
Championing a continuous improvement culture in all aspects of the People Services function
Assisting in the WHS aspects of risk identification, WHS mitigation, reporting and analysis to improve performance, behaviour, and monitor outcomes
You will be/have:-
A relevant qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent.
WHS management experience in a large and geographically dispersed organisation, preferably in ‘for profit’ clinical/health environment
Previously implemented successful WHS processes and policies
Sound analytical skills, and the ability to extract insights from information and provide an informed opinion on Health & Safety risks and the adequacy of controls.
Great stakeholder management skills
