Management Accountant

A start-up sportswear brand are looking to recruit a management accountant into their finance team. They have had great success over the last five years and have a big budget for marketing this year. The brand are taking on well known sporting ambassadors and are looking to impact the world of sports in 2018.

Client Details

The company are now seeking someone to come in and own this financial position, making it their own. The team is looking for a candidate who can help push the team forward in a positive way.

Description

A successful candidate will be given duties which include:

• Manage accounts payable and reconcile to all source documentation before payment

• Keep track of all payments made, recording all supporting documentation as well as reporting on upcoming payments to the Company Director

• Manage and track the monitoring expenses budget

• Reconcile warehouse 'Goods In' reports against POs

• Update total value of the company stock holding following the receipt of goods

• Produce weekly and monthly sales and margin reports

• Post all financial transactions onto Xero

• Work with the external accountants to prepare and fill VAT and Tax returns

• Reconcile the total stock value report to the general ledger

• Produce monthly management accounts (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet)

• Clear bank reconciliation differences

Profile

A successful candidate will have a similar profile to:

• Graduate, CIMA/ACCA part qualified

• International exposure, multi-entity accounting and consolidations

• Must be fluent in English.

• Must be looking for more responsibility and real challenge
• Must be hands on, proactive and prepared to get into the detais

• Must be looking to develop career

• Give evidence of scalability of their skills

Job Offer

• £28,000 - £30,000
