The main objectives for the role are:
- Deliver the financial reports of the business including complying with IFRS, and managing audit deliverables to ensure effective completion of internal and external audits.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the Commercial Finance team, as well as working on strategic projects.

Description
- Preparation of high quality, IFRS compliant Group and subsidiary financial statements and quarterly investor reports
- Responsible for delivering upon internal and external audit deliverables, including taking ownership for resolving auditor queries on a timely basis to ensure delivery of an efficient audit
- Deliver high quality regulatory and other external reporting submissions
- Provide IFRS technical accounting support and guidance to Commercial Finance and strategic project teams to ensure implementation of appropriate accounting policies
- Contribute to updates to Group accounting manuals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with auditors and manage deliverables to ensure effective completion of internal and external audits
- Build and enhance relationships with internal and external partners to ensure effective financial reporting involvement in the execution of strategies and projects
- Deliver high quality, insightful financial analysis, as required, to support strategic initiatives and decision making
- Take responsibility for maintaining high quality financial controls, in compliance with the Financial Control Framework, for processes owned and drive ongoing process improvements
Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and comprehensive experience of researching, understanding, interpreting and applying accounting standards to business scenarios
- Analytical by nature and experience; good logical and methodical approach to solving problems and ability to handle and interpret large amounts of data in a meaningful way to support decision making
- Ability to present findings in a structured and well thought-through way, particularly when addressing a non-expert audience
- Highly intellectual with commercial aptitude, sound judgement and professional integrity
- Highly resilient with strong organisational and time management skills; self-motivated to deliver to the highest standard within challenging deadlines and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and guide a range of stakeholders/colleagues with differing levels of ability and aptitude
- Good excel skills

- External: External auditors, internal auditors, regulators and industry bodies
