Director/Assistant Director, Finance

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the management of the finance function of the Company. The traditional finance functions of financial and statutory reporting, budgets and financial analysis are a given. In addition, you are to ensure compliance with internal controls, supervise cash management and taxation functions within CAI.

You will also participate in the entire investment process, beginning with supporting due diligence, transaction structuring, tax advisory and execution and closure of deals to monitoring of the investments. You will provide oversight and guidance to financial controllers in overseas airports, review management and statutory reporting, financial budgeting and forecasting, corporate governance and internal controls. You will be involved in stakeholders and co-investors management of the investee companies and will be required to represent the Company at the audit committees of the investee companies.

You should possess a good degree in Accountancy from a reputable university and be either a Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant. Higher tertiary education is an advantage. You should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in a leadership position including regional controllership roles and strategic financial management responsibilities in established international investment companies with presence in the emerging markets. Strong technical skills in the interpretation and application of accounting standards is required and candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing are preferred. Candidates should also have executed at least one M&A transaction.

To succeed in this role, you should have strong intellectual and analytical ability, clarity of thinking, solid tax knowledge and good understanding of business risks. You should be able to work independently, be resourceful in solving issues in an uncertain environment and have the gravitas to work with senior management team, investors and stakeholders of the business and investee companies.
