Job Title: Graduate Credit Risk Analyst
Location: Cardiff
Salary: to £25,000+ bonus & benefits

Our client, an Insurance company based in Cardiff requires a Graduate Analyst to join their Credit Risk team in a role that will initially cover all aspects of credit risk and pricing, with the ability to specialise in a particular area as the business grows and develops.

As a Graduate Analyst you will receive on the job training which will enable you to;
  • Perform reporting and monitoring of credit and pricing performance, across a range of channels and products
  • Assist in the design, implementation and testing of new credit and pricing strategies, scorecards and decisioning systems
  • Design, develop and utilise effective analysis and management information, identifying potential changes and producing actionable proposals
  • Assess new data sources, tools and techniques to ensure the quality of credit decisioning is maintained in a fast-changing external environment
  • Ensure all risk and pricing documentation and procedures are kept up-to-date
  • Monitor, maintain and enhance all aspects of credit risk and pricing decisions
  • Provide a wide range of analytical work in order to meet the Credit Risk team’s objectives and support ad-hoc projects
What do you need to apply?
  • A Degree at 2:1 or above in quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics/ Economics/ Physics or related field)
  • Excellent A Level grades, with Mathematics at Grade A or above (Essential)
  • Experience of extracting, manipulating and analysing data using SAS/SQL (or similar data tools such as R)
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint to produce clear documents and analysis, presenting complex information in an effective manner
  • Skills in the interpretation of data and able to work to a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • A familiarity with financial services and/or risk/finance analytical techniques would be a distinct advantage.
