Currently working with a business in Newmarket, who are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant. Reporting directly to Management, you will be involved in a wide array of Payroll functions.

Duties:

  • Handling monthly payroll (zero hour staff, hourly paid staff and salaried staff)
  • Payroll costing reports
  • managing pensions
  • HMRC submission (PAYE and NIC) to deadlines
  • Weekly cash book for head office
  • Bank reconciliation
  • preparing bank and supplier payment runs
  • Phone call handling
  • Administration

To be successful, you will need:

  • Strong experience in Payroll
  • Great knowledge of Payroll legislation
  • An in depth understanding of SAGE Line 50 and SAGE Payroll
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good finance knowledge
