Management Accountant - Theatre Production company

8 month maternity cover contract working as a Management Accountant in a Theatre Production company in the West End. The role will involve: month end, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, overseeing AP/AR functions, royalty statement processing and payroll functions.

The company is run by two leading West End theatre directors and is located near to Leicester Square tube station. They have directed some of the leading productions both in London and internationally.

It is award-winning having won some of the most prestigious awards in the theatre world, including an Olivier Award.

Description

The main responsibilities for this role include:

• Updating production budget and assessing profitability for forecasting and management accounts
• Profit and Loss analysis
• Cash flow forecasting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Processing purchase & sales invoices and making payments
• Reconciling credit card statements
• Liaising with production company manager on payroll & petty cash
• Liaising with theatres for advances and returns
• Doing company and production payrolls
• Reconciling bank account statements with Sage
• Preparation of the group VAT return on a quarterly basis
• Submitting and paying monthly PAYE
• Completing the yearly P11D and payroll year end
• Preparing quarterly royalty statements for productions and making associated payments
• Assisting with payment of investment returns
• Internal production recharges
• Managing the year-end audit

Profile

The successful candidate:

• Will be at least Part-Qualified in ACCA/CIMA
• MUST have experience using Sage Line 50
• Ideally will be passionate about working in the creative sector
• Will be immediately available or on a maximum 1 week notice
• Must be accurate and have strong attention to detail
• Must be able to produce a full set of management accounts

Job Offer

This is an 8 month Management Accountant contract with the possibility of a permanent opportunity at the end of it.

The role is paying £35,000 - £40,000 dependent on the level of experience of the candidate. Please apply if you have the experience stated above, including experience with Sage 50.
