We are currently seeking a SER Coordinator for work on our Level Crossing Removal Project. This large-scale project will benefit train users pedestrians, cyclists and drivers by improving safety, reducing congestion and enabling more frequent train services.
In this role, you will provide specialist technical and professional advice for all aspects of occupational health and safety, environment and risk. With a firm grasp of Risk Management principles and practices, you will champion departmental initiatives with your leadership and communication skills.
Accountabilities:
• Support the delivery of the divisional Safety Management and SER Improvement Plans by advising and coordinating safety activities for managers, teams and peers
• Develop action plans based on risk assessment and performance data, cultural improvement targets and business constraints and considerations
• Determine priorities, improvement plans and how to manage risk within the Metro Trains framework of organisational policies and external requirements
• Pro-actively contribute to safety improvements by engaging all levels of Metro Trains to deliver a safer environment for staff
To be successful in the role, your previous experience will include:
• Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety or Risk Management
• Qualifications in internal audit, OHS and lead investigator
• Experience with risk and opportunity assessment and software preferred
• Experience in lump sum, design and construct, alliance and portfolios projects preferred
• Ability to identify risks and make corrective actions
