Based at our Footscray Plant Permanent Full Time Night shift hours About the role The Area Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe production and maintenance for multiple concrete plants in the region whilst achieving safety targets through the implementation of Holcim SHE Management System, standards and objectives across the region. Reporting to the Melbourne Concrete Manager, you will be an integral member of the management team. The position will predominantly be based at the Holcim''s Footscray plant however you will be required to travel to other sites in your region under your responsibility. Responsibilities include Achieving safety targets and ensuring acceptance and implementation of Holcim SHE Management System, standards and objectives across the region. Developing a positive business culture through the demonstration and driving of targeted safety behaviours. Ensuring all operations in the region comply with legal and environmental requirements including EPA license conditions. Day to day management of operations across multiple plants - ensuring desired production levels are reached. Operational improvement. Profit and loss responsibility across your designated region. Planning, budgeting and reporting across the region. Ensuring all new and existing customer requirements are met. Maintaining a high level of plant and fleet presentation / housekeeping. About you You''re an established Operations Manager with a record of positive leadership across safety, operations and management. You must be able to adapt to changing working environments and be able to make decisions under pressure. Other attributes we are interested to see include: Demonstrated experience in a broad range of areas including production, cost management and business planning, people and contractor management. A strong commitment to safety. SAP and Command/Eagle Concrete software knowledge. A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
