The Women's is Australia's leading independent specialist hospital for women dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women of all ages and cultures, and new born babies. The Women's is recognised as a leader in its field, with expertise in maternity services and the care of newborn babies, gynaecology, assisted reproduction, women's health and cancer services.

The Women's Quality and Safety Unit provides an expert advisory service to the staff and services of the Women's on quality improvement and risk management strategies, systems and activities. It is also responsible to provide a high quality specialist and sensitive service to women seeking resolution to concerns and complaints about hospital services within a human rights and advocacy framework.

This is an opportunity to contribute to multidisciplinary efforts to improve quality and safety in a hospital with a strong commitment to advocacy for improvements in women's health. You will assist resolution of patient complaints while identifying opportunities for quality improvement.

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Advanced communication skills in negotiation, mediation and problem solving
• Capacity to work effectively in a complex organization
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in health or human sciences
• Experience in a health service would be desirable
