Management Accountant

A permanent contract for a Management Accountant for a successful business based in Chester.

Client Details

A leading distribution business based in Chester with a £120m turnover, and growing on an international level, this business has over 800 employees with several sites across the UK. They now have an opportunity for a Management Accountant to join on a permanent basis.

Description

This role will report directly into a FD but will also work closely with other site directors, and will cover the following areas:

• Producing monthly management packs, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow forecasting
• Preparing annual budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis with commentaries
• Stock valuation and usage calculations
• Weekly costing reports
• Daily, weekly and monthly KPI reporting
• Control of the nominal ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Cost and cash control
• Cash flow management and reporting
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• VAT returns

Profile

This is a great opportunity for a candidate that prefers a hands on and results-focused role. We are also looking for:

• Strong management accounts experience
• Part qualified CIMA/ACCA
• Stock control or stock management experience, would be advantageous
• Excellent Excel skills
• IT literate with strong systems knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Methodical and high attention to detail
