The Accounts Assistant role based in Luton provides administrative support to the finance and accounting team, undertaking finance and admin tasks such as payments, invoices, credit control, banking, and basic finance admin related tasks. The role also helps to maintain the finance department and keeping it running smoothly so they are looking for an enthusiastic character keen to learn and progress further into finance

Description

Accounts Assistant duties and responsibilities;

  • Allocation of all payments received on a daily basis to the various invoices and supplier accounts
  • Credit Control
  • Reconciliation of debtor accounts with follow up on weekly basis on overdue accounts
  • Dealing with debtors on any queries regarding the invoices
  • Organising and maintaining accounts inbox, prioritising and escalating queries where necessary.
  • Adhoc accounts duties
  • Filing
  • Ensure accurate processing of the various expenses and invoices to other related companies
  • Deal with queries from other departments with regards to stock supplier invoices or payments
  • Profile

    Accounts Assistant required experience, personality and characteristics traits;

  • Finance or accounting experience/exposure
  • Sage or SAP experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Vlookup - advantageous
  • Desirable; Understanding of data privacy standards.
  • Solid and appropriate communication skills, written, verbal and telephone
  • Appropriate experiences in similar finance department environment.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Can do/will do attitude.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Organisation, planning and prioritising skills.
