A highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with a 'can do' attitude is required to work within our payroll team. The Payroll Assistant role will include assisting our payroll manager with monthly payrolls including all auto-enrolment matters.

Our client is a Chartered Accountancy practice located in London's West-End. A practice different from the mainstream with over 100 years of expertise.
Description
The Payroll Assistant's duties consist of, and are not limited to:
- Processing monthly payroll, auto-enrolment and advising clients of amounts to pay
- Logging starters and leavers onto the payroll software
- Corresponding with client regarding their PAYE/NIC and Net wages payments
- Changing tax codes
- Dealing with SMP and SSP calculations
- Handling P60's and pay slips
- Dealing with queries regarding payroll, via phone and email
- Checking pay slips, starter details, sickness, leavers, COD's and maternity calculations
- Assisting with the preparation of forms P11D
- Creating and updating trackers/checklists
- Changing bank and personal details
- Creating reports
Profile
The Payroll Assistant will be reporting to a Manager who will review their work and plan work flow through the firm.
The ideal candidate would need minimal supervision and have a good understanding of payroll, preferably coming from an Accountancy Practice background.
Working knowledge of STAR system is desirable but not essential
Good communication skills with both clients and team members are essential.
Job Offer
Between £25,000-£28,000 with a comprehensive benefits package
