Description
To lead the production of statutory accounts and support the Finance Manager in the production of the Group accounts in accordance with the Company reporting timetable, statutory requirements and accounting best practice
To lead the liaison with internal and external auditors as required.
To lead the budget setting process, agreeing timetables, setting work plans, and agreeing resourcing to engage managers so that the resources needed to achieve the company's business plan objectives are properly identified and planned
Maintain effective financial records ensuring income, expenditure, assets and liabilities are properly recorded in accordance with good accounting practice
Responsible for the preparation of the monthly accounts pack, including all relevant accruals, prepayment and other adjustments. Providing monthly management information and KPI's on a timely basis including reporting packs for Executive and Boards
Analysis and investigation of budget variances, identifying appropriate actions to correct under performance and reporting to senior management
To plan and deliver forecasts of out turn performance against budget, reporting to Executive and Boards.
Provide the Head of Treasury with appropriate financial reporting to support funder returns in accordance with loan covenants.
Produce management performance reports as required for Boards and Committees
Profile
You will be recently qualified (ACA or ACCA) with a background in Practice. You will possess a strong background in consolidations and statutory accounts and be up-to-date with the current financial reporting standards.
